Spatial Analyst / Spatial Science Adviser (6-Month Max Term)

What you’ll do: 

  • Deliver timely and accurate spatial science mapping and reporting, combined with verification and analysis methodologies to meet WaterNSW and customer needs
  • Deliver and maintain spatial data services to internal clients, including supporting metadata, symbology and technical documentation
  • Consolidating and verifying datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Provide spatial application support to internal clients, including training and technical documentation
  • Build relationships across WaterNSW teams and divisions to enable efficient data gathering, integration and dissemination of spatial advice

What we are looking for: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a complementary field, such as Spatial Science, Computing Engineering, Water Resources, Environmental Science or Data Analytics
  • Experience with ArcPro and ESRI portal or ArcGIS Online 
  • Experience working with or developing spatial datasets
  • Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and ability to work in a hybrid team environment
  • Ability to communicate analysis to a range of audiences using Geographical Information Systems, high level written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
