The Director, Technology and Service Delivery leads IT service delivery, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient application support and deployment. The role involves managing stakeholder relationships, supplier partnerships, and contracts to align IT services with business goals. Operating strategically, the Director drives decision-making and fosters continuous improvement in IT services and operations.
Some of the accountabilities include
- Applications Support: Ensures smooth operations of critical systems, minimizing downtime and maintaining high service standards.
- Release and Deployment: Manages seamless updates with minimal disruption, adhering to best practices and mitigating risks.
- Stakeholder Management: Builds trust and aligns IT services with business goals through proactive communication and issue resolution.
- Supplier Management: Ensures supplier compliance, negotiates contracts, and monitors performance to deliver value.
- Service Delivery: Maintains high-quality IT services by defining SLAs, tracking performance, and driving improvements.
- Configuration Management: Tracks IT assets and ensures system reliability through controlled configuration processes.
- Contract Management: Oversees IT contracts, ensuring compliance, value, and effective service delivery.
- Team Leadership: Promotes quality, safety, and leadership development to meet business objectives.
- Financial Accountability: Manage application costs, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization for software licensing and associated expenses.
Skills required
- Extensive senior IT management experience overseeing technology and service delivery.
- Experience with SAP and a wide range of enterprise applications.
- Expertise in applications support, release management, and stakeholder relationship management.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven proficiency in supplier and contract management, with experience managing large-scale IT projects.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in service level and configuration management.
- Deep understanding of organizational processes and the role of IT in supporting business operations.
- Certifications such as ITIL or PMP.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, including experience with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in highly regulated industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or FMCG, will be highly regarded
- Proven ability to work in large-scale organizations.
