Position Classification: Health Mgr Lvl 3
Remuneration: 122850 - 139559 full time equivalent base salary range (excludes super, leave loading and salary packaging)

Sydney Children's Hospitals Network is the largest paediatric health care entity in Australia.We care for thousands of children each year in our hospitals and in their homes — with one purpose in mind — to help young people live their healthiest lives.

The position has responsibility across reporting, analysis, assurance and management processes to improve eMR data quality, and standardisation of clinical data management, which includes successful completion of individual projects within the program.
The Senior Data Analyst ideally has at least 5 years of data analysis experience, preferably with proficiency in using electronic medical record data.
This position is a temporary contract until June 2025, with the possibility for extension. Secondment options may be available for the right candidate
- Relevant tertiary qualification in information technology, data science or equivalent work experience in a complex health setting, or a combination of study and work experience.
- Extensive experience in SQL programming and designing ETL processes, as well as an advanced level of proficiency in data science tools such as Python, or R.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering effective administration for complex relational databases, including through development and implementation of data dictionaries, common data models and standard operating procedures.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, privacy and security principles for health data to manage data provisioning requirements, and provide data quality feedback issues to various stakeholders, including clinical teams.
- Highly developed oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, and exceptional organisational skills, with a capacity to prioritise, achieve business goals, and work with a customer focused approach.
- Experience with NSW Health ICT systems, clinical technology, eMR data structure (preferably Cerner) and cloud-based technologies is highly desirable.
