Reporting to the Research Agronomist, you bring a background in field-based research trials and proficiency in operating various farm machinery

Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 Per Annum

Your Role

As the Research Trials Assistant, you'll be an integral part of our client’s research team in the southern region, responsible for supporting corn and canola research trials activities across Victoria and Southern NSW.

Leveraging your solid experience in operating farm machinery, you'll contribute to various tasks such as:

  • Sowing
  • Crop Monitoring and maintenance
  • Harvesting
  • Transport of machinery
  • General maintenance

About You

Reporting to the Research Agronomist, you bring a background in field-based research trials and proficiency in operating farm machinery, including planters and harvesters.

To excel in this role, the following skills and attributes are essential:

  • Proficient operation of tractors, seeders, boom sprays, harvesters, trucks, and associated machinery.
  • Involvement in seed packing, plot preparation, seeding, crop maintenance, and harvesting.
  • General maintenance of machinery and vehicles.
  • Genuine interest in research trials with a continuous learning mindset.
  • HR license (mandatory) HC license preferred.
  • Chem cert (mandatory).
  • Experience with research trials (preferred).

Due to the role's nature, occasional overnight travel and additional work hours during seeding and harvest periods may be required.
