About the Opportunity
The Research Directorate is seeking an additional Research Ethics and Governance Coordinator to focus on improving the quality of research applications received by both the SWSLHD Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and the research governance unit.
This role is pivotal in implementing meaningful change and improving the researcher experience in south western Sydney.
We are looking for an experienced research administrator or trials coordinator who can bring on-the-ground experience to develop and implement new processes.
Ideally, we are seeking full-time hours but will consider part-time and job share for the right candidate/s.
What You'll be Doing
Provide high level administrative support and assistance to the Ethics and Governance Unit of the Research Directorate in SWSLHD by undertaking a range of secretariat and coordinating functions relating to the ethical review and governance processes for research involving humans.

- Proven high order written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to problem solve under pressure.
- Strong administrative management skills including ability to deal with and prioritise a high workload.
- Experience working at a Hospital or University Research and Ethics Office and/or detailed knowledge and understanding about ethics and research governance, including policies, guidelines and procedures.
