About the role
As the Research Assistant/Research Fellow, you will play a key role in the development of an online research and resources hub designed to amplify the Pathway to Politics Program for Women’s impact, outreach, thought leadership and advocacy on the important issue of gender equity in Australian politics. You will make a significant contribution to growing Pathways to Politics’ reputation and establishing it as a world leading platform for female political empowerment, based in a tier one research University.
Please note, this part-time opportunity is available until December 2021.
About you
You will have a research and/or evaluation background in the field of gender and politics, including a developing record of outputs in peer reviewed publications and/or technical reports. You will have knowledge of and an interest in current data and research on the political representation of women nationally and internationally, and the capacity to tailor this research and data so that is accessible to a diverse range of stakeholders and audiences.
You will further have:
- Undergraduate degree with first class Honours in political science, gender studies or allied field.
- Knowledge of the research and literature in relation to female political representation in Australia.
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting research and developing analyses, summaries, synopses, data infographics and reports that are accessible to diverse academic and non-academic audiences.
- Demonstrated experience of contribution to the development of searchable databases.
- Experience in working on research projects involving diverse stakeholders and communities
