Big health grants open
The Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) has opened up millions of dollars in grant opportunities.
The federal health department has announced $310.3 million in MRFF money will be provided for research to improve Australians' health, primary health care and research infrastructure.
Researchers can apply for the following MRFF grant funding:

$25 million under the 2023 Chronic Respiratory Conditions grant opportunity

$10 million under the 2023 Consumer-Led Research grant opportunity

$15 million under the 2023 Maternal Health and Healthy Lifestyles grant opportunity

$20 million under the 2023 Primary Health Care Research grant opportunity

$50 million under the 2023 BioMedTech Incubator – Dementia and Cognitive Decline grant opportunity. Guidelines are now available. Applications open 20 February 2023

$45.5 million under the 2023 Clinician Researchers: Applied Research in Health grant opportunity. Guidelines are now available. Applications open 15 February 2023

$44.8 million under the Early to Mid-Career Researchers grant opportunity. Guidelines are now available. Applications open 15 February 2023

$100 million under the 2023 National Critical Research Infrastructure grant opportunity. Guidelines are now available. Applications open on 21 February 2023.
